ABOUT US-

Hey there I'm Matthew - Chef, owner and operator of El Grito Taqueria. 

I’ve been working in the food service industry since I was 14. Before opening El Grito Taqueria in 2015, I spent almost a decade living abroad. Through my travels, I was exposed to cultures different from my own, absorbing and getting inspired by different ingredients, flavors and cooking techniques. My travels have left a lasting impact on who I am as a chef and the vision for my cuisine. 

Traveling to Mexico frequently reminds me of the diversity of the country's cuisine. I'm amazed at the boundless inspiration Mexico brings me. I come back from my travels eager to share what I’ve learned and to invite my customers into the experience through what I put on the plate.
